Dying a Painful Death from Cancer...Is there an alternative?

Death. Sometimes it feels like I'm swimming in a pool of it when I'm at work. My job is at a medical facility and I work in oncology. The type of cancer I deal with, acute leukemias, is often a devastating, life threatening disease. And, though I am not the person's family and don't claim to have grief that's even remotely close to theirs, it is still a loss, feeling as if a little piece of me was taken and will never be restored, every time someone dies.

Safety Measures Every Lady Should Know

I took a self-defense course a few months ago led by Gabriel Rubin, founder of Female Awareness (click HERE to go to her site) . I recommend every woman take this inexpensive but extremely informative course if she wants to feel more confident when walking the streets of New York or other urban areas (or even suburban, like while walking to your car at night), to know what to look out for and how to prevent attacks from happening.

Check This Out!!

Check out this great blog that intelligent and comedically discusses topics like Politics, Movies, Sports and Sarah Palin (because she deserves a category of her own. Because she's special.) www.screwtype.com  ********Disclosure: I am not biased at all in recommending this site. Just because I'm in love with him doesn't mean I can't be impartial in judging his blog's readworthiness********

Bio

Raised in the Midwest, daughter of a narcissistic, abusive, obsessive-compulsive shrink, married at eighteen (Hey-that's what you do when you don't believe in pre-marital sex, right?), divorced by the age of twenty-one, oh, and escaped from a religious cult, author Jodi Jett was groomed, nearly from birth, to have f*d up relationships with men and has lived the life to prove it.
